6.1.1.2 Waste Ink Absorption Capacity
Lower Case
Waste ink resulting from cleaning or flushing is absorbed by the waste ink pads in
the Lower Case.
I/C Holder area
The waste ink pads in the I/C Holder area absorb the ink that leaked during
cartridge installation and removal.
6.1.2 Consumables and Regular Replacement Parts
There are no Regularly Replaced Parts.
Only the ink cartridges listed below are consumables. For details, refer to “1.2.6 Ink
Cartridges” (p.15).

Do not open or close any of the I/C Covers unnecessarily.
If you take out any ink cartridge immediately after opening the I/C
Cover, the value of the counter increases because of a large
amount of ink leakage. Therefore, you are recommended to wait
for seven or more seconds after opening the I/C Cover and then
remove the ink cartridges.
