5. Remove two screws (CP(W): M3x6) securing the carriage cover and remove the
carriage cover.

6. Press on the nuts and loosen the nuts on the flexible tubes to remove the metal
pipes in a way that does not loosen the hex head nuts connecting the metal pipes.

C A U T I O N
When loosening the nuts, use some absorbent material to prevent
ink spilling because remaining ink may leak from both metal pipes
and tube sides.

C A U T I O N
Do not lose the O ring (rubber sealing ring) between the tube and
nut.
If an O-ring is lost, an air leak will occur and ink will not be
supplied.

C A U T I O N
Insert tubes in line with connecting nuts and tighten hex head nuts
with torque wrench (#E589: torque 1kg) to apply proper torque.
Under torque:Ink will not be supplied due to air leak.
Over torque: Ink flow channel will be constricted due to O-
ring deformity and result in ink supply
deficiency and poor starting of normal supply
pump due to incorrect ink supply.
