4.2.1 Basic Operations
4.2.1.1 Protective metal plate
1. Open the FRONT COVER ASSY.
2. Remove the screw that secures the protective metal plate on the left side of the
CARRIAGE ASSY. and remove the plate.
 One protective screw
3. Close the FRONT COVER ASSY.

When the printer should be repacked for transportation, be sure to
screw the protective metal plate to the CARRIAGE ASSY. and use
protection materials.
