When using paper such as baryta, matte fine art paper, matte canvas, satin canvas, or non-Epson media
(commercially available paper), make the paper configuration according to the characteristics of the paper
(Custom paper) before printing. Printing without making configuring may cause wrinkles, rubbing, uneven colors,
and so on.
Make sure you set the following four items.
Select Reference
Paper
The optimum settings for using different types of Epson special media have already been registered to
this printer.
Check the following, and then select the Epson special media type or general paper settings that are
closest to the paper you are using.
General paper settings
General paper settings have not been optimized for any specific paper type. You can then optimize
the settings according to the paper provided by the user.
Photo Paper: Baryta
Fine Art Paper: Fine Art Matte
Canvas: satin canvas, matte canvas
Plain paper: Plain paper
Glossy paper: Photo Paper
Thick paper that is not glossy: Matte Paper
Thin, soft paper that is not glossy; Plain Paper
Canvas-like paper: Canvas
Cotton paper with an uneven surface: Fine Art Paper
Special media such as film, cloth, poster board, and tracing paper: Others
Paper Thickness Set the thickness of the paper. If you do not know the paper thickness, check the manual supplied
with the paper or the paper supplier.
This allows you to reduce the grainy feeling and scuff marks in print outs, as well as differences in the
print position and color.
Roll core size Set the paper core size for the roll paper being loaded.
Paper Feed Offset Optimizes the paper feed when printing. By adjusting the gap between the data size and the print
size, you can reduce the chance of banding (horizontal banding) or uneven colors.
Example of entering settings
When printing at a data size of 100 mm and a print size of 101 mm, the offset is 1.0%. Therefore, you
would enter a value of -1.0%.
c
Important:
If you change even one item set in the Paper menu, you need to perform Paper Feed Offset again.
