Cannot activate the Epson Open Platform
Check the following.
❏ Make sure you entered the correct product key in the Web Config. The product key is paired with the serial
number. Access the content download site and acquire the product key if you do not know how to pair the product
key. The same product key is issued to one serial number.

Cannot update the firmware
Check the following.
❏ Check that the firmware you downloaded is correct.
Check the file name.
Returning the MFD to a standard device
Release the Epson Open Platform to return the MFD to its standard settings. You need the firmware for the standard
device to return to standard settings. Contact your dealer for more information.
Updating the firmware

Use one of the following methods to connect the MFD to the system administrator's computer.
Connect by wired or wireless LAN
Connect directly using a LAN cable
Connect directly using a USB cable

On the computer, double-click the Firmware Update Tool icon.

Follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware for the MFD.
