INSPECTION
Inspect your tethering system before and after each use. All equipment should be
regularly inspected by a competent person. Ensure the tethering system is properly
attached to the tool and is not damaged. Before each use, check the following:
Examine all hardware for rust or corrosion, abnormal distortion (twists, bends),
cracks or breaks, or any other damage.
Examine markings on the product and labels for legibility.
Inspect the other products (lanyards, anchor attachments, etc.) appropriately in
accordance with their instructions.
If any part of the tethering system has knowingly been involved in a drop, it
must immediately be taken out of service and replaced. If any tethering system
component fails any part of an inspection, discard and replace the product
immediately.
