5.6 Transmission
The RBS 2106, as all RBS 2000 models, supports multi-drop bypass
functionality.
LAPD (Link Access Procedures on D-channel) concentration and LAPD
multiplexing can be used to make the transmission resource more
efficient.
Each RBS can be configured for stand-alone or linear cascade mode.
The configuration is performed using the OMT.
The DXU-21 is equipped with four external transmission ports
supporting a total of up to 8 Mbit/s. It is connected to a PCM signal of
either 2 Mbit/s or 1.5 Mbit/s. The 2 Mbit/s PCM may use either
75
unbalanced lines or 120
balanced lines. The 1.5 Mbit/
s network uses balanced 100
lines.
