The Eureka Kobra Sweeper is a cleaning machine designed for dry use only, capable of collecting dirt, dust, and small debris. It is not suitable for anything wet, hazardous, or items that can get wrapped around the brush, such as string, banding, or shrinkwrap.
Function Description:
The sweeper operates by using a main roller brush, concealed underneath the machine, to remove dirt from the floor. A front brush is included for edge cleaning and should be kept off the floor the rest of the time. For collecting larger debris, a front flap lift device is available. The collected dirt is stored in a rear bin, which needs to be removed to empty.
Important Technical Specifications:
The machine features a long-life filter with 99.9% filtration.
Regarding battery life, with new batteries, it can run for 3 hours or more. Charging takes 8-12 hours, depending on the specific model. Batteries may need replacement after approximately 700-1000 cycles, depending on usage. For example:
- Charging twice a day (730 cycles/year) would mean replacement in about 1 year.
- Charging once a day (365 cycles/year) would mean replacement in about 2 years.
- Charging every 3 days (122 cycles/year) would mean replacement in about 6 years.
Usage Features:
Before use, operators must ensure the charger is showing a fully charged green light (if on charge), check the brushes, rubber flaps, filter, and confirm that the container(s) are empty. The machine should only be used by authorized, trained operators who have read and understood the operator manual.
During operation:
- Adjust the handle to a comfortable position.
- Switch on using the key (check for a green light).
- Ensure the parking brake is off (lever on the front wheel).
- Pull the lever to drive forward.
- Decrease speed when turning.
- Keep the side brush raised; it should only be used for cleaning edges.
- Go slow for the most effective sweeping.
- Raise the flap using the lever to collect light, bulky debris.
- When not in use, ensure the parking brake is on.
- Operate the filter shaker regularly (every 5 minutes if particularly dusty).
- Operators should NOT see dust when using the sweeper. If dust is visible, attention is needed (e.g., check if the side brush is up, the filter is clean, or the bin is empty).
Maintenance Features:
After use:
- Switch off the machine.
- Empty the containers.
- Check brushes, rubber flaps, and the filter.
- Wipe the machine down with a damp cloth.
- Charge the machine if the battery is flat.
- Top up batteries once a week (for wet batteries only).
Important Restrictions:
- DO NOT collect string, banding, shrink-wrap, or similar materials, as this will cause serious damage to the machine.
- DO NOT "opportune charge" (e.g., at tea breaks); only charge when the machine is flat.
