DTV-2850 Valve, Cover: Blue
NEMA 1 Rated: resists dust and moisture
Hinged: left, Controls: inside
Materials Needed for Installation:
Inlet and Outlet on valve are both 11/2” FNPT
11/2” pipe length to be determined
Qty. 3 - 11/2” Ball Valves
Qty. 2 - 11/2” Unions
Qty. 1- Union for drain line** (see proper specifications)
Materials Needed for Drain:**
3/4” MNPT copper x 3/4” (min.) male adapter
3/4” (min.) union
3/4” (min.) drain line, pipe length to be determined
**Nominal drain line and drain size should be a minimum of
3/4”. Drain line exceeding 20’ in length and/or drain water that is
expected to flow over 5’ above the height of the drain port re-
quires a 1” line and drain. Install, non-restrictive, check valve in
drain line, if drain water is expected to flow over 5’ above the
height of the drain port . Never restrict the backwash drain water
flow.
Drain without Restrictor 1” MNPT
Required and Included: Brass Drain Line Flow Control Housing
(DLFC) with 10 GPM Flow Restrictor, 3/4” FNPT x 3/4” FNPT
Warning: Do not remove Drain Line Flow Control (DLFC). Re-
moval may cause media movement up into valve causing its
failure and/or into filtered water supply causing aethetic issues.
Caution:
Due to system flow rate of 50 gpm and restricted drain flow of up to
10 gpm the valve during backwash is mechanically noisy. Do not be
alarmed. However check incoming line pressure not to exceed
65psi and any restricted drain line. You may re-set backwash for
daytime automatic cycle to avoid quieter evenings.
EWS/CWL-1354-11/2”

Drain Line Size: min: 3/4”** (see proper specifications)
Installed Dimensions:
See diagrams for specific units
Dry Weight: 1354-11/2” - 185lbs.
Plumbing Clearances:
Minimum of 24” from front of unit to back wall for plumbing
Drain Flow: restricted up to 10 gpm (1354-11/2”)
Factory Set: maximum of 18 minutes every 3rd day
Bypass needs to be plumbed for proper installation:
