configure bgp neighbor timer
configure bgp neighbor [<remoteaddr> | all] timer keep-alive <keepalive>
hold-time <holdtime>
Description
Configures the BGP neighbor timers.
Syntax Description
Default
The default keepalive setting is 60 seconds. The default hold time is 180 seconds.
Usage Guidelines
The BGP neighbor or BGP protocol must be disabled before changing the timer values.
Example
The following command configures the BGP neighbor timers:
configure bgp neighbor 192.168.1.5 timer keep-alive 120 hold-time 360
History
This command was first available in ExtremeWare XOS 10.1.
This command required an Advanced Core license in ExtremeWare XOS 11.1.
Platform Availability
This command is available on platforms with a Core or an Advanced Core license.
remoteaddr Specifies an IP address.
all Specifies all neighbors.
keepalive Specifies a BGP neighbor timer keepalive time in seconds. The range is 0 to
21,845 seconds.
holdtime Specifies a BGP neighbor timer hold time in seconds. The range is 0 and
3 to 65,535 seconds.
