9. ADJUSTING THE SPRING
9.1. SPRING PRELOADING
If the door movement is not uniform (e.g.: door not closing comple-
tely or closing with too much force) proceed as follows to adjust the
spring preloading:
1) Cut power to the automated system and release from the door
thearmsecureddirectlyonthetransmissionshaft;
2) Rotatethearmuntilthestop-pointscrew(g.21ref.4)isinline
withtheinspectionslot(g.21ref.3);
3) Removethescrew,whilekeepingthearminposition;
4) To increase preloading: rotate the arm in opening direction until
thenextxingpositionofthestop-pointscrew(g.21ref.5)isin
linewiththeinspectionslotandxthescrewagain.
To reduce preloading: rotate the arm in closing direction until
thenextxingpositionofthestop-pointscrew(g.21ref.5)isin
linewiththeinspectionslotandxthescrewagain.
5) Reinstallthearmcorrectly(seepar.3.3.);
6) Run a new SETUP cycle.
9.2. CHECKING SPRING EFFICIENCY
Weadviseyoutoperiodicallychecktheefciencyofthespring-

1) SelecttheManualfunction;
2) Removetheprotectivedeviceofthedrivesystem(seeg.1ref.

2) Openthedoorcompletely;
3) Check the line you had traced.
Ifthedistortionisnotuniformalongthewholespringheight(g.
22ref.2),butisirregular(g.22ref.3),lubricatethespring
withspecicslidinggrease.
