CNC 8070
11.
HD GRAPHIC ENVIRONMENT (MILL MODEL)
(REF: 1505)
Measure the part.
Saving/loading parts.
The CNC, using the softkey menu, lets save and load the machined parts of the graphics
window. The parts are saved as stl files in the folder ../Users/Grafdata. The stl format
(STereoLithography) may be used in a quick prototyping (for example, 3D printers).
When changing the machine configuration, the CNC saves the part displayed on the screen
automatically as LastPiece.stl into the folder ../Users/Grafdata, and it recovers it after the new
configuration.
11.8 Measure the part.
This option may be used to measure the distance between two points. Once measured, press
the [ESC] key or press the same softkey again.
If it is a 3D view, the measuring points are always inside the a surface of the part. If it is a
2D view, the measuring points may be out of the limits of the part. Only distances external
to the part may be measured in 2D views (tool path measuring).
When selecting this option, two measuring points appear on the graphic joined by a dashed
line that represents the distance to measure. These measuring points are visible in all the
views, but the actions are carried out in the active view.
Select and move the measuring points.
One of the measuring points is always active; to change the active measuring point, use the
tab key or place the cursor on it. The CNC shows the active measuring point in a different
color.
The active measuring point may be moved with the mouse or with the [][][][] keys.
With the mouse, click on one point of the screen, the active measuring point moves to that
point automatically. Also with the mouse, place the cursor on the measuring point and click
the left button, drag it to the measuring point.
11.9 Simulation speed.
This option may be used to change the simulation speed, same as from the graphics
configuration menu. After activating this option, the CNC shows a cursor for setting the
simulation speed. To move the cursor, use the mouses or the [SHIFT][] or [SHIFT][] keys.
