Appearance of the DDSSetup mode
21.1.1 Icon description (vertical softkeys)
Vertical softkey menu.
Softkey. Description.
Show / refresh the list of devices. Sercos and Mechatrolink.
This softkey access the main screen of the DDSSetup and shows the list of devices
connected to the Sercos or Mechatrolink bus. The CNC shows a short description for each
device.
Drive accessing level change. Only Sercos.
This softkey is used to change the access level for drive parameters and variables.
Pressing this softkey shows a window that requests the password to quit the basic level
and access a new level.
Editor for variables and parameters. Sercos and Mechatrolink.
This service may be used to edit the parameters (Sercos and Mechatrolink) and the
variables (Sercos) of the drive.
Error manager. Sercos and Mechatrolink.
This service shows the list of warnings, alarms and errors active at the device and, if the
device allows it, the alarms log. For Sercos drives, this service may also be used to disable
certain errors.
Variable monitoring. Sercos and Mechatrolink.
This service monitors the status of the variables of the devices.
Status window. Sercos and Mechatrolink.
This service monitors two types of information; the operations being carried out by the
device and the status of the inputs and outputs.
Command simulator. Only Sercos.
This option may be used to configure and start up the internal command generator of the
drive.
Command line. Sercos and Mechatrolink.
The command line may be used to execute the command of the drive (only Sercos),
consult variables, read and write parameters, obtain information on the status of the
device and insert variables in the monitoring window (only Mechatrolink).
