8.6 Connection of the control and communications signals
8.6.1 Motor feedback connection
The motor feedback device for all motors in the FAGOR catalog is an
encoder.
For single-drives
The connection between the encoder and the motor is made by directly
running a motor feedback cable between the motor feedback device
connector to the E21A connector of the QC-DR-
-FS1 drive or the E21
connector for a QC-DR-275-SS2 drive.
See the shield connection to the GP-2 protective earth bar in figure F. H8/7.
For dual-drives
The connection between the encoder and each motor is made by directly
running a motor feedback cable between the MA motor feedback
connector to the E21A connector of the QC-DR-
-FD2 drive and the
feedback cable between the feedback device connector of the MB motor
and or the E21B connector of the QC-DR-
-FD2 drive.
See the shield connection to the GP-2 protective earth bar in figure F.
H8/7.
For more information on the details regarding the cable and feedback
connections, see section, 7.3 MOTOR FEEDBACK CABLES of this manual.
The technical data for the motor feedback (encoder) connector is shown
in the corresponding motor manual.

NOTE. Both for encoders installed on feed axis servomotors and spindle
motors.
NOTE. Only for encoders installed on feed axis servomotors.
WARNING. FAGOR uses isolation systems between the temperature
sensors and the winding of their motors ensuring long life to the MOTOR-
DRIVE system regardless of wiring lengths.
