A.3.1.
Qualifications of Your Grain Drill
Before using your grain drill, getting to know the qualifications, intended
purposes, capabilities and superior aspects of the product you purchased
is essential to obtain maximum benefit from your machine.
Thus, your grain drill is designed to make seeding;
With a row spacing of 12.5 – 25 – 37.5 and 50 cm,
In sizes 0.5 – 7 mm such as barley, wheat, canola, clover, sesame, onion
(seed), spinach, chickpea, triticale, rye, pea, vetch, grass and pasture mixtures
and poppy,
In the seeding of the seeds with a spread norm of 2 kg – 400 Ha seeds per hectare,
Under dry and slightly mellow soil conditions,
With a seeding depth of 0.5 – 8 cm,
With minimum seed/fertilizer filling due to its high box capacity,
In a well prepared and clod-free (rolled, if possible) seed bed,
With high speed and precision
Your drill can seed up to 18 km/h under suitable field conditions without performance
loss.
Caution:
Avoid seeding with your grain drill in heavily mellow, poorly prepared soils with rough
and coarse clod. If you have to seed under such conditions, ensure the suitable seed
bed conditions by rolling or harrowing (plowing) as a pretreatment.
Working capacities of disc grain drills decreases in heavily mellow/humid soil.
Therefore, prefer periods when the soil is dry and slightly humid for seeding.
