C.1.3. Seeding Norm (The Amount of Seed-Fertilizer to be Spread) Adjustment
The seeding norm (spread amount) is adjusted by following
the procedure steps below.
1.
Step: Fill the box by minimum 50% with the seed
and/or fertilizer to be used.
2.
Step: Switch the Seed Transmission to the “50”
value in the middle of the scale.
3.
Step: Switch the seed funnels to test position.
(For detailed information, Refer to: C.1.1. Switching
the Funnel Trays to Calibration Position)
4.
Step: Adjust the slide cover according to the seed
type to be planted.
(For detailed information, Refer to: C.1.2.1. Slide Cover
Adjustment)
5.
Step: Switch the throttles to a position suitable
for the seed type to be planed.
(For detailed information, Refer to: C.1.2.2. Throttle and
Throttle Adjustment)
Connection of Crank Handle
6.
Step: Adjust the gears according to the seed type to be
planted.
(For detailed information, Refer to: C.1.2.3. Gear Adjustment)
7.
Step: Mount the crank handle on the clutch shaft,
rotate it by a few turns and leave it at perpendicular (12-
o’clock). Thereafter a certain amount of seed will drop into
the test container. Discharge the seeds dropped in the
test containers and place the empty containers again.
Note: This preliminary circulation procedure is essential for
the filling of the seed cell during adjustment and creation of
an environment which is closest to the working
environment.
8.
Step: Rotate the crank handle by “20 complete
turns” and scale the seeds dropped into the test
container with a precision scale. You will find the seed
amount to be spread per 1 hectare when you multiply the
result with the coefficient of the model of your grain drill.
