Overview

This document is an instruction manual for Ferre free-standing cookers, specifically models F6IP40E6-IBL-W and F6IP40GF-IBL-W. It provides comprehensive information on the product's general appearance, technical specifications, safety instructions, installation, preliminary preparation, usage of the oven and electric stove, maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting.

Function Description:

The Ferre free-standing cooker is designed for domestic use, primarily for cooking, baking, roasting, and grilling food. It features both gas and electric cooking elements, including a gas stove with multiple burners and an electric oven. Some models may include optional features such as a turbo fan for more homogenous heating, a grill with chicken roasting accessories, and a digital timer for precise cooking control.

Important Technical Specifications:

The cookers operate on a voltage/frequency of 220-240 V 50-60 Hz. Total power consumption ranges from a minimum of 0.006 KW to a maximum of 5.6 kW, requiring a fuse between 16 A and 25 A. The cable type/section can vary, including 3 X 0.75 PVC, 3 X 1 PVC, 3 X 1.5 PVC, or 3 X 2.5 PVC (H05VV-F). The maximum cable length is 1.5 m.

Outer dimensions (height/width/depth) vary by model:

  • (60 x 60) 890x600x600mm
  • (57x57) 890x570x570mm
  • (50x60) 880x500x585mm
  • (50x55)
  • (50x50)

The oven is a static furnace (optional) with an energy efficiency class of B. Internal lighting is 25 X, and grill power consumption is 2000 X. Usable oven volumes include 50x50x l, 50x60 l, and 60x60 l.

The gas stove burners have specific injector sizes and power outputs depending on the gas type and pressure (G20 13mbar, G20 20mbar, G20 25mbar, G25.3 25mbar, G30 30mbar, G30 37mbar, G30 50mbar, G31 37mbar). For example, an auxiliary burner with G20 13mbar has an injector of Ø 0.92 and 1.15 kW, while a dual wok burner (SABAF) with G30 30mbar has an injector of Ø 1.07 and 4.60 kW.

Usage Features:

Oven Operation:

  • General Cooking: Use non-stick, covered metal or aluminum plates, or heat-resistant silicone forms. Optimize shelf space and place cooking forms at the center of the shelf. Select the proper shelf position before operation and keep the oven door closed.
  • Baking: Preheat the oven if specified in the recipe. Avoid frequent opening of the oven door. Cook multiple dishes simultaneously or successively to conserve heat. Thaw frozen food before baking.
  • Roasting: Marinating chicken, turkey, or large meat parts with lemon juice and black pepper can improve baking performance. Bony meats take longer to roast. Allow 4-5 minutes per centimeter of meat thickness. After roasting, keep meat in the oven for about 10 minutes to allow juices to distribute.
  • Grilling: Suitable for red meat, fish, poultry, flattened meats, skewers, sausages, and stews. Place food on the wire grill or tray, ensuring it does not exceed the heater size. Drive the grill wire or oven tray to the desired level. Adding a little water to the oven can aid cleaning. Use the grill deflector to protect the control panel and buttons when grilling, keeping the oven door open the specified distance. Never use the grill burner when the oven burner is operating.
  • Operating Modes: The oven offers various heating modes, including:
    • Upper and Lower Heating: For pastries, cakes, and stews, using a single tray.
    • Upper Heating: For cakes with shining surfaces or browning food on top.
    • Lower Heating: For pizza or browning food on the bottom.
    • Lower + Upper + Turbo Fan (optional): For homogenous heating of cakes, yogurt, and casseroles, using a single tray.
    • Grill (optional): For grilling meat, with food placed on the correct shelf position.
    • High Grill (optional): Similar to grill, but with higher intensity.
    • Turbo Motor (optional): Used for thawing.
    • Turbo Resistant + Turbo Fan (optional): For homogenous heating of cakes, yogurt, pastries, and casseroles.
    • Grill + Chicken Roasting (optional): For uniform roasting of meat and chicken on a shish.
    • High Grill + Turbo Fan (optional): For homogenous heating of casseroles.

Timer Functions (Mechanical and Digital):

  • Mechanical Clock (Model 2): Turn the timer setting button clockwise to set the baking time.
  • Analogue Timer (Model 4): Push and turn the button anticlockwise to set the timer (up to 180 minutes). An alarm beeps when the set time is over.
  • Digital Timer:
    • Setting Time of Day: After power resume or current decay, "0.00" and "AUTO" flash. Press button 1 for 2 seconds, then use buttons 2 and 3 to set the current time.
    • Manual Operation: Use the oven manually without cooking duration adjustment.
    • Minute Minder: Activate at any time for 1 minute to 23 hours 59 minutes.
    • Cooking Time with Delay (Full-Automatic): Set cooking time and end time. The oven will switch on at the calculated start time.
    • Automatic Baking Program: Enter baking time for immediate cooking.
    • Silencing Alarm: Press the key to silence the alarm.
    • Child Lock Function: Prevents accidental changes to timer settings. Activated by pressing manual mode keys for 3 seconds.
    • Timer Mode (12/24 Hour): Change the display format by pressing the (+) key for 3 seconds.
    • Alarm Volume Setting: Adjust alarm volume (3 levels) by pressing the (-) key.

Gas Stove Operation:

  • Push and turn the gas stove button anticlockwise to the high flame position.
  • Switch on the lighter.
  • Adjust to the desired flame position.
  • Turn the button clockwise to the upper point to close the burner when cooking is complete.
  • Gas Breaker Safety Mechanism (with thermal element): Cuts off gas flow if liquid overflows on burners. After combustion, keep the button pressed for 3-5 seconds to engage the safety mechanism.

Electric Stove Part:

  • The switching system allows for different power levels for various heating elements (Ø145 1000W, Ø145 RAPID 1500W, Ø180 1500W, Ø180 RAPID 2000W).
  • Recommended pan diameter for electric stoves is 16-20cm.
  • Ensure the pan base completely touches the heater surface to prevent high energy consumption and uneven heat distribution.
  • Avoid using pans that are too large or too small, or flames that exceed heat-resistant glass edges.

    1. Switch off power.
    2. Remove the glass cover by turning anticlockwise.
    3. Remove the lamp by turning anticlockwise and replace it.
    4. Replace the glass cover.

Troubleshooting:

  • Product does not operate: Check if the product is plugged in, if the fuse is defective or burnt, and if the mains voltage is fluctuating.
  • Steam comes out from the oven: Normal during operation.
  • Metal sounds are heard when the product heats up and cools down: Normal due to metal expansion.
  • Oven does not heat: Check power supply, fuses, and ensure the timer, function, and temperature buttons are correctly set.
  • Oven light is not on: Check power supply, fuses, and replace the oven lamp if broken.
