FREEMONT
Vehicle towing/lifting
To define the towing methods, comply with the following table,
according to the model to be towed.
If the car battery is flat, refer to "Automatic transmission - gear lever
unlocking" to obtain the instruction about disengagement of the
automatic transmission from position P (Park) for towing.
Appropriate towing or lifting equipment is required to prevent
damage to the car. Use only suitable tow bars and other equipment,
following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Using safety chains is compulsory. Attach the tow bars or other tow
equipment to the main structural components of the car and not to
the bumpers or related brackets. Comply with local and national
laws related to towing cars.
Should it be necessary to activate devices (e.g. windscreen wiper,
defrosters, etc.) when towing, bring the ignition device to RUN and
not to ACC.
