Turn
ignition
switch
to
start.
If
engine
will
not
crank,

Starting
troubleshooting.

connect
a
remote
starter
switch
as
shown.
Turn
off
igni-
tion
switch.

Disconnect
lead
from
a
spark
plug.
Hold
lead
about
1/2
inch
from
engine.
Use
insulated
pliers.

Crank
engine
and
check
for
spark.
lf
spark
is
strong,
troubleshoot
fuel
system.
If
there
is
no
spark
or
it
appears
weak
go
to
step
2.

Take
coil
to
distributor
lead
out
of
distributor.

Hold
lead
about
1/4
inch
from
engine.
Use
insulated
pliers.
c.
Crank
engine
and
check
for
spark.
If
spark
is
present,

to
step
3.

If
spark
is
not
present,
connect
lead
to
distributor.
Disconnect
lead
from
top
of
coil.
e.
Hold
lead
about
1/4
inch
from
terminal
on
coil.
Use
insulated
pliers.
f.
Crank
engine
and
check
for
spark.
If
spark
is
not
present,
go
to
step
4.
If
spark
is
strong,
replace
lead
from
coil
to
distributor.
