Overview

The FibroSlide is a residential inground pool slide designed for recreational use. It is a fiberglass slide that requires a minimum of two people for assembly and installation.

Function Description:

The FibroSlide provides a fun and engaging way to enter an inground swimming pool. Water is delivered to the slide surface via a sprayer system to ensure a smooth and lubricated descent. Users slide down the flume into the pool, with specific safety guidelines in place to prevent injury.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Weight Limit: 200 lbs. No slider weighing more than 200 pounds may use this slide.
  • Water Depth Requirement: The slide must be used in water 4 feet deep or greater. The minimum water depth under the exit of the slide is 3 feet, increasing to 4 feet at point A (4 feet 6 inches from the back wall of the pool). This 4-foot depth must be maintained for 9 feet along the centerline of the slide from point A. The water depth profile must extend a minimum of 3 feet 3 inches on either side of the centerline of the slide.
  • Material: Fiberglass components for the slide flume.
  • Anchoring: Requires anchoring to a deck or appropriate surface using provided leg anchors and ladder anchors.
  • Water Delivery System: Includes a tube, valve, adapter, nozzle, and clamp for water lubrication.
  • Assembly Tools: Requires a wrench and hex key wrench (provided).
  • Safety Stickers: Includes safety stickers to be installed on the slide, indicating weight limit, proper sliding position, and warnings.

Usage Features:

  • Residential Inground Pool Use Only: This slide is strictly designed for residential inground pools and must never be installed on above ground pools, ponds, floating docks or platforms, boat docks or houseboats, or any natural body of water.
  • Feet First Sitting Position Only: Users must slide in a feet-first sitting position. Sliding headfirst is prohibited due to the risk of serious spinal injury, paralysis, or death.
  • Adult Supervision: Adult supervision is required at all times when the slide is in use.
  • Single User at a Time: Only one person is allowed on the slide, including the ladder, at any given time.
  • Water Lubrication: The water delivery system must be turned on and lubricating the slide prior to use.
  • Clear Path: Before sliding, users must ensure the path in front of the slide is free from any obstructions, including submerged objects, other people, rafts, or inner tubes.
  • No Diving Boards: If a diving board is present, the slide should not be used simultaneously with the diving board.
  • Take Turns: Users should take turns to avoid collisions.
  • No Roughhousing: Roughhousing or horseplay is strictly prohibited on the slide.
  • No Standing, Jumping, or Diving: Users must not stand, jump, or dive from any part of the slide.
  • No Objects on Slide: Do not slide on objects such as rafts or inner tubes, as this increases the risk of injury.
  • No Sliding Through/At Objects: Do not slide through or at objects such as rafts or inner tubes.
  • Health Restrictions: Do not use the slide if physically impaired or handicapped without a doctor's permission, or if you have a history of heart conditions, seizures, back problems, fainting, or fear of heights. Pregnant individuals should not use the slide.
  • No Alcohol: Do not drink alcohol and use this slide.
  • Slippery Surface: The slide surface is very slippery when wet; caution is advised when entering and transitioning from standing to sitting.
  • Water Safety Envelope: The slide must be positioned according to the provided water safety envelope diagrams to ensure safe entry into the pool.

Maintenance Features:

  • Annual Inspection: The slide should be inspected at least once a year for any loose, damaged, weakened, or broken parts.
  • Professional Repair: If any part is loose, damaged, weakened, or broken, the slide should not be used until it has been inspected and repaired by a competent professional familiar with pool slides.
  • Cleanliness: Lay a clean blanket, bubble wrap, or cardboard beneath fiberglass components during assembly to prevent scratching.
  • Sealant Application: A continuous bead of sealant is applied to the connecting faces of the flume sections during assembly to ensure a watertight seal.
  • Fastener Quality: Use high-quality fasteners for installation and ensure all anchors are tightened well.
  • Water Supply Adjustment: Adjust the water spray to ensure proper lubrication without losing too much pool water.
  • Winterization: Plumbing lines should be drained in winter months to prevent freeze expansion damage.
  • Surface Shine/Gloss: Surface shine and finish gloss are not covered under warranty, as they are affected by maintenance and weather conditions.
  • Warranty: The slide comes with a limited ONE (1) year factory warranty covering parts only for fiberglass section breakage, all stainless steel components, and water jets, provided installation and operation instructions are followed.
