The Theory of Drying Clothes
An electric heater or a gas burner replaces the sun’s heat.
This provides the heat source.
A fan provides the wind or airflow over the clothes.
How does a dryer work?
Ambient air is
sucked into the
dryer
It is passed over
an electric
element (the air is
heated up)
It then enters the
rotating drum and
passes through the
clothes
Cooler moist air
then exits the
drum
Lint is filtered out
The air is then
exhausted out of
the dryer
