Instrument Settings - Service Function Menu
10.7.7 Air value acceptance
The menu option “Air value acceptance” appears only to the current Appli-
cation. The probe always supplies measurement signals to the instrument
in the default setting. That means, that the probe measures the air value
when lifting off. You can switch off this automatism.
Dynamic Air Value Measurement (default setting)
With dynamic air value measurement, the probe signal of the lifted off
probe (= air value) is continuously queried by the instrument. The instrument
adjusts continuously to these air values. This aids in strongly reducing exter-
nal influences, in particular changes to the ambient temperature and thus
avoids erroneous measurements.
Static Air Value Measurement
With static air value measurement, the reading of the air value that has
been obtained during the last carried out manual air value capture is used
for the instrument adjustment.
The readings will be erroneous if the ambient temperature has changed
With every modification of the measured
variable, a prompt for deleting readings al-
ready stored in the open Application will
appear because it is not possible to evalu-
ate different types of measured variables
statistically at the same time. This prevents
erroneous interpretations of the measure-
ment results.
