Manual Air Value Capture
To keep the measurement errors with static air value measurements as low
as possible, normalizations should be carried out at relatively regular inter-
vals.
1.
Use ZERO to start the procedure.
2.
Hold the probe in the air (at least 5 cm (1.97 ") distance to the near-
est object).
3.
Now you can choose between two possibilities:
Capture the air value followed by a normalization procedure: Use
ENTER to start the normalization procedure (see
Chapter 6.2 ‘Normalization’, beginning on Page 61). A normaliza-
tion on the substrate material is necessary only if the substrate mate-
rial changed since the last normalization or the last air value
measurement.
or
Only manual air value capture:
Confirming with FINAL RES will finished the air value capturing and
return you to the menu for the measurement.
Confirming with ENTER will return you to
the menu for the measurement.
Use DEL at any time to cancel the proce-
dure.
