Use a power relay for fans rated at 12 amps or more to control the relay with this switch and use a larger wire.
Select a switch location, drill mounting holes, and prepare for fastening without snapping the switch in place.
Run a new wire through the firewall to the fan's ground wire and connect using a solderless butt connector.
Secure the wire to the chassis and run it through the mounting bracket, connecting to terminal 1 of the switch.
Connect a ring terminal to a new wire, secure it to chassis ground, and attach the other end to terminal 2 of the switch.
Connect to a 12V positive source and run the wire to terminal 3 of the switch.
Snap the Auxiliary Switch into its mounting bracket to complete the installation.
Ensure all wiring is kept away from hot engine components and moving parts for safety and longevity.
