1.Fastenersshouldbereplacedwiththesameorhighergradefasteners.Ifhighergradefastenersareused,
theseshouldonlybetightenedtothestrengthoftheoriginal.
2.Makesurethefastenersthreadsarecleanandthatthreadengagementisstarted.Thiswillpreventthemfrom
failingwhenbeingtightened.
3.Tightenplasticinsertorcrimpedsteel-typelocknutstoapproximately50%ofthedrytorque,appliedtothe
nut,nottothebolthead.Tightentoothedorserrated-typelocknutstothefulltorquevalue.
4.TheL9(Alloy)fastenerstorquevaluesareforabolt,nut,andtwowashers.WhenusingL9(Alloy)fasteners,
donotusethevaluesinthistablefortappedholes.
