3.1 Powering On/Off and Checking the
Instrument
This description assumes normal operation of the instrument. For a
detailed description of the startup process, refer to "Startup" on
page46.
To start up the FLIR identiFINDER R200*
1. Press and hold the power button
for a moment until the splash
screen displays.
2. Release the key. Wait a moment while the following
processes of the FLIR identiFINDER R200 complete:
l the start-up routine,
l firmware initialization (loading it to system memory),
l and display of the "Dose Rate" screen .
3. Verify that enough energy is charged in the battery, and memory
is available.
4. The FLIR identiFINDER R200 displays the "Dose Rate" screen in
the initial state.
5. The FLIR identiFINDER R200 is now ready for operation.
Turn the detector off by pressing and holding the power button until the
confirmation screen displays, which provides the choice of affirming or
canceling the shutdown command.
The LEDStatus Indicator (green LED, top left of the detector) will flash
in five second intervals indicating normal operations.
IF the LEDStatus Indicator flashes at intervals more frequently than every five seconds, this is an indicator of
a system error. Holding the Power button (about 15 seconds) will re-boot the detector, and clear the system
error.
