WRECKER TOWING
If you need to have your vehicle towed, contact a professional towing
service or, if you are a member, your roadside assistance center.
It is recommended that your vehicle be towed only with flatbed equipment
and that wood blocking must be used when loading/unloading your vehicle.
Note: The tow truck operator should know the correct placement of the
blocking as to not damage the air dam on the front of your vehicle.
Do not tow with a wheel lift or a slingbelt. Ford Motor Company has not
approved a slingbelt towing procedure.
If the vehicle is towed by other means or incorrectly, vehicle
damage may occur.
Ford Motor Company produces a towing manual for all authorized tow
truck operators. Have your tow truck operator refer to this manual for
proper hook-up and towing procedures for your vehicle.
TOW HOOK
Your vehicle is equipped with a tow hook located in the luggage
compartment. The tow hook should be threaded into the hole provided
in the front grill area as shown. Note: This is a left-handed thread.
