Worldwide Testing Helps Ensure Quality,
Reliability and Durability
Escape has undergone rigorous testing in locations worldwide
to examine specific aspects of the vehicle. “We tested brakes
in the Grossglockner Mountains of the Swiss Alps and in
Mexico,” reports one Escape engineer. “There’s a three-and-a-
half-mile descent from Mexico City to Puerto Vallarta that
requires almost constant brake use to stay on the road. We
gave a few Escape SUVs to Las Vegas taxi companies.
They’re notoriously tough on transaxles and it gave us a good
insight into Escape’s durability. The Royal Canadian Mounted
Police and the Denver Police Department also tested Escape in
their high-altitude, high-demand environments.”
