The safety belt warning light illuminates for
5 seconds.
The driver's safety belt is not buckled
before the ignition switch is turned to the
on position...
The safety belt warning light and warning
chime turn off.
The driver's safety belt is buckled while the
indicator light is illuminated and the
warning chime is sounding...
The safety belt warning light and indicator
chime remain off.
The driver's safety belt is buckled before
the ignition switch is turned to the on posi-
tion...
SEATBELT REMINDER (If Equipped)
WARNING
The system will only provide
protection when you use the safety
belt properly.
The warning lamp illuminates and an
audible warning will sound when both of
the following conditions have been met:
• The driver's safety belt has not been
fastened.
• The vehicle exceeds a relatively low
speed.
If you do not fasten your safety belt, both
warnings will switch off automatically after
about five minutes.
