ELECTRONIC LOCKING DIFFERENTIAL*
The electronic locking dierential (ELD) allows both wheels on
a specific axle to turn at the same speed, providing additional
traction should your vehicle become stuck. The
front or
rear locking dierential can be activated by pressing the switch on
the center switch pack. Front locking dierential is only available
in four-wheel drive low (4L) mode. Rear locking dierential is
available in all four-wheel drive modes. For additional locker
availability see the table below.
The system also provides additional guidance when trying to
activate the front locking dierential where it is not available.
SELECTED LOCKING DIFFERENTIAL NOT AVAILABLE IN
CURRENT DRIVE MODE appears when activating the locker in a
not supported drive mode.
SELECTED LOCKING DIFFERENTIAL NOT AVAILABLE IN
CURRENT 4x4 MODE appears when activating the locker in a not
supported four-wheel drive mode.
It also automatically engages or disengages upon selection of
certain drive modes. For more detailed information, refer to your
Owner’s Manual.
