F-150 FUNCTION
TRAIL ONE PEDAL DRIVE*
Trail one pedal drive allows you to accelerate and brake using only the
accelerator pedal. Press the
button when in four-wheel drive high (4H)
or four-wheel drive low (4L) to activate one pedal drive. Press the
button again to turn it o. Pressing the accelerator down accelerates your
vehicle. Releasing pressure on the accelerator with your foot still on the
pedal slows down your vehicle and releasing the pedal completely allows
your vehicle to come to a complete stop. When trail one pedal drive is active,
the indicator displays in the instrument cluster.
REVERSE BRAKE ASSIST
Reverse brake assist uses sensors on the rear of your vehicle to reduce the
impact or avoid a collision completely when you are in reverse (R). The
system applies the brakes for a short period of time when an event occurs. A
message and warning indicator appear when the system applies the brakes.
Take action as soon as you notice the brakes apply. To switch reverse braking
on or o:
1. Press Features.
2. Press Driver Assistance.
3. Switch Reverse Brake Assist on or o.
Refer to the Reverse Brake Assist chapter in your Owner's Manual for
moreinformation.
MULTI-ACCESS TAILGATE
The multi-access tailgate oers the function and convenience of both a
tailgate and swing gate. Using the button inside the swing gate handle, you
can open the swing gate without opening the tailgate. To operate the swing
gate, make sure that the power tailgate is fully closed.
HEAD UP DISPLAY*
The system displays information on the windshield in your field of vision, allowing
you to keep your eyes on the road. You can select which information the system
displays. From the head up display menu you can chose a drive mode layout option
such as automatic, normal tow/haul, o-road or baja view*. These layouts provide
helpful information for your selected driving conditions.
TRAILER HITCHING ASSISTANCE*
Trailer hitching assistance uses the rear view camera, radar, parking aid sensors and
external rear lighting to detect your trailer. This feature then controls the steering,
shiing, braking and acceleration to align the hitch ball with the trailer coupler.
To use trailer hitching assistance, press the Pro Trailer button and select No on the
touchscreen when asked if a trailer is connected. This activates the system. Follow
the instructions on the touchscreen.
