ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
LOCATION OF SPARE TIRE AND TOOLS
The spare tire is located under the vehicle, just forward of the rear bumper.
The jack and tools are behind the rear passenger seat. A dissimilar spare tire is
designed for emergency use only and should be replaced as soon as possible.
For complete details on changing your tire, refer to the Changing a Road
Wheel chapter of your Owner’s Manual.
TOWING YOUR VEHICLE
Recreationally towing your vehicle, such as behind a motor home, may
not be available depending on your vehicles configuration. See the Towing
your Vehicle chapter of your Owner's Manual for instructions, limitations
andprecautions.
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM
The tire pressure monitoring system allows you to view the tire
pressure readings through the instrument cluster display. When one
or more of your tires are underinflated, your vehicle illuminates the
low tire pressure warning light
in the instrument cluster. If this
happens, stop and check your tires as soon as possible. Inflate them
to the proper pressure. Refer to the Tire Pressure Monitoring System
chapter of your Owner’s Manual for more information.
EMERGENCY TOWING
If your vehicle becomes inoperable without access to wheel dollies or
a vehicle transport trailer, it can be flat-towed with all wheels on the
ground, regardless of the powertrain and transmission configuration,
under the following conditions:
• Your vehicle is facing forward for towing in a forward direction.
• Use the manual park release procedure in the Automatic
Transmission chapter of your Owner's Manual to move your
transmission out of park (P). Failure to do so may result in damage
to the transmission.
• Maximum speed is 35 mph (56 km/h).
• Maximum distance is 50 mi (80 km).
