FUNCTION
ONBOARD SCALES*
Onboard scales provides the estimated payload of your vehicle and warns
when your vehicle is overloaded. Onboard scales uses sensors mounted to the
suspension to calculate the vehicle's payload.
1. Press Features on the touchscreen.
2. Press Onboard Scales.
Press Passenger and Cargo Load Reminder to switch the load reminder on
ando.
Press Tail lamps to switch on and o whether you can see payload on the
vehicle's tail lamps.
SMART HITCH*
Smart hitch indicates if the trailers load is within the recommended range
based on the weight of the trailer and its cargo.
1. Press Features on the touchscreen.
2. Press Smart Hitch.
3. Select your hitch type and choose Quick Setup.
Press Loaded Trailer Weight to set the total weight of the loaded trailer.
Press Tail Lamps to see the hitch load balance on the vehicle's tail lamps.
VEHICLE SOFTWARE UPDATES
Ford Power-Up continuously makes vehicles better over time by delivering the
latest features and functionality, using over the air technology. Updates include
new multimedia features, center display screen design changes, performance
enhancements, quality improvements, recalls, and more.
How it Works
Soware updates are sent directly to the vehicle modem using a cellular or
Wi-Fi connection - just like your smartphone or laptop. That means that you
can receive updates from anywhere, as long as your vehicle is within range of a
cellular or Wi-Finetwork.
Most updates are installed while you are driving, however, some require that the
vehicle is parked. Typically, these non-drivable updates complete in less than 45
minutes, although some updates could take longer. Check your touchscreen or
connected device for the most accurate estimated update time.
For the most seamless experience, be sure to:
1. Turn Automatic Updates on so that you can download soware, as soon as it
is available, while you drive.
2. Set a schedule so that you can install non-drivable updates at a time that is
convenient to you (like overnight).
You are notified of the status of the soware update and have access to
release notes in the touchscreen, on the owner website and on your connected
