CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT
The system alerts you of vehicles
approaching from the sides behind your
vehicle when you shi into reverse (R). To
switch cross trac alert on and o:
1. Press the button on the touchscreen.
2. Press Driver Assistance.
3. Switch Cross Trac Alert on or o.
PRE-COLLISION ASSIST
If your vehicle is rapidly approaching another
stationary vehicle, a vehicle traveling in the
same direction as yours, or a pedestrian or
cyclist within your driving path, the system
provides alerts or aids in preventing a
collision. The system uses a camera and
radar to detect if a collision is about to
occur. Automatic emergency braking may
activate if the system determines that a
collision is imminent. The system may help
the driver reduce impact damage or to
completely avoid the crash. The system is
active at speeds above 3 mph (5 km/h) and
pedestrian and cyclist detection is active at
speeds up to 50 mph (80 km/h).
