BLUECRUISE
BlueCruise is an advanced driver assistance feature that enables hands-free
highway driving on divided highways across North America.
BlueCruise Setup:
1. Enable BlueCruise through the touchscreen in the Driver Assistance menu
by selecting Cruise Control and Lane Centering with Hands-Free.
2. Make sure that lane centering is turned on. If not, press the lane centering
button
on the steering wheel to enable it.
Using BlueCruise on the road:
1. Activate BlueCruise by pressing the Adaptive Cruise Control
button on
the steering wheel.
2. Your instrument panel will turn blue when you enter a
hands-free zone and the hands-free graphic appears.
3. You can then take your hands o the wheel, while keeping
your eyes on the road.
While in use, the system monitors your eyes and head position to detect if you
are distracted. If the system determines you are distracted, it uses prompts
in the speedometer cluster and a chime to remind you to watch the road.
Eventually, if you
do not respond to
the warnings, the
vehicle will slow to a
low speed. When an
external condition
cancels BlueCruise,
for example, no lane
markings available,
a tone sounds and a
message appears in the instrument cluster. The icon on the cluster changes
to a wheel with hands on
indicating that you should put your hands back
on the wheel.
BlueCruise Features:
Vehicles equipped with the latest version of BlueCruise have additional
hands-free capability, including:
• Lane Change Assist – tap your turn signal to initiate a hands-free
laneswitch.
• In-Lane Repositioning – helps provide more space by subtly shiing away
from vehicles in adjacent lanes.
• Predictive Speed Assist – on select curves, BlueCruise can automatically
and smoothly adjust your vehicle’s speed
