Hold the brake or clutch pedal
depressed and press down the
switch.
The brake system warning lamp will
go off to confirm that the EPB has
been released.
Moving off with a trailer
(vehicles with manual
transmission)
Depending on the gradient and the
weight of the trailer, the vehicle and
trailer may roll backwards slightly
when you move off on a slope. To
prevent this happening, deactivate
the Drive Away Release and release
the EPB manually as follows:
1. Pull up the switch and hold it in this
position.
2. Move off as normal and then
press down the switch when you
notice that the engine has
developed sufficient driving force.
