SEAT BELT REMINDER
WARNING
Do not sit on top of a fastened
seat belt to prevent the seat belt
reminder from coming on. The
occupant protection system will only
provide optimum protection when
you use the seat belt properly.
The seat belt reminder
warning lamp will come on
and an audible warning will
sound if you or your front seat
passenger have not fastened your
seat belts and the vehicle exceeds
10 km/h (6 mph). It will also come on
if your seat belts are unfastened
when the vehicle is moving. The
audible warning will go off after five
minutes but the seat belt reminder
warning lamp will remain on until you
fasten your seat belts.
Deactivating the seat belt
reminder
You can have the seat belt reminder
deactivated by your Ford dealer.
