Driving Aids
LDW only performs the driving assist
function.
In cold and bad weather conditions,
the system may not work properly.
Rain, snow, fog or high-contrast
lighting (strong backlight) may affect
the sensor performance and even
cause system failures.
The system may not work at steep
corners or on narrow or too wide
roads.
The system works as long as the
camera can detect one lane marking.
The system may not function if the
camera is blocked, or damaged or
dirty.
The system only works at a speed of
65 km/h-150 km/h.
If a further alarm is triggered within 4
s after a LDW alarm is triggered,
the
additional alarm will be suppressed.
Switching the System On and Off
Press the button on the center console
to switch the system on or off.
Warning and Display of LDW
When you switch the system on, a
graphic of lane markings appears in the
information display. When you switch
the system off, the lane marking
graphics do not display. While the
system is on, the color of the lane
markings change to indicate the system
status. These colors represent the
following:
Note:
Grey : Indicates that the system is
temporarily unable to provide a
warning or intervention on the indicated
side.
This may be because:
• Your vehicle is under the activation
speed.
• The direction indicator is active.
• Your vehicle is in a dynamic
maneuver.
• The road has no or poor lane
markings in the camera field-of-
view.
• The camera is obscured or unable
to detect the lane markings due to
environmental, traffic or vehicle
conditions. For example,
significant sun angles, shadows,
snow, heavy rain or fog, following
a large vehicle that is blocking or
shadowing the lane or poor
headlamp illumination
Green : Indicates that the system is
available or ready to provide a warning
or intervention on the indicated side.
