Using Blind Spot Information
System
The system is activated when all of the
following occurs:
You start the vehicle.
You shift to drive (D).
Vehicle speed exceeds 10 km / h.
Note:
The system does not work in
parking (P) or in reverse (R).
System Messages and Lights
When the system detects a vehicle, an
alert indicator turns on at the external

System Limitation
• The rear sensor may be blocked
by snow, ice, dust, or fog, which
will cause reduced sensor
reliability or even operation

• The system can only detect
vehicles within 3 m beyond the
rear bumper and may not detect
motorcycles or other smaller
objects.
• The system is not applicable to
vehicles at very slow or relatively
high speed.
• Adjacently parked vehicles or
objects are obstructing the
sensors.
• You reverse out of an angled
parking space.
• The system may not detect
something flat on the ground,
under the bumper, too close or
too far from the vehicle.
Note:
The system does not prevent
contact with other vehicles. It is not
designed to detect parked vehicles,
pedestrians, animals or other
infrastructure.

System Errors
