A
ll backrests must be in an upright po-
sition and securely locked in place while
the vehicle is in motion so that the pro-
tective action of the seat belts for the
rear seats is guaranteed. If a seat is oc-
cupied and the backrest has not engag-

in the event of a sudden braking or driv-
ing manoeuvre or during accidents.
·
Floor mats or other objects must be
kept away from the area of the hinges.
Floor mats or other objects could get
caught in the hinges on the front pas-
senger seat backrest. This could cause
the front passenger seat backrest to fail
to engage securely when you return it
to the upright position.
·
You should not transport adults, chil-

the backrest is folded forward or is not
engaged securely into place.

make sure that there is no cigarette
lighter on or near the movable parts of
the seat.

rear sea
ts can damage the vehicle.

or damaged when folding back the back-
rest.

studs on clothing, and belts, can damage
surfaces. Open Velcro fasteners can also
cause damage.

seats can cause damage to the seat sys-
tem.
·
Remove all objects in front of, behind or
