Activating the exterior mirror functions
The following exterior mirror functions
must be activated once in the vehicle set-
tings in the Infotainment system
→ page 34.
Synchronised mirror adjustment
Synchronous mirror adjustment means
that the right-hand exterior mirror is also
adjusted at the same time when you adjust
the le-hand exterior mirror.
1. Turn the rotary knob to position .
2.
Adjust the exterior mirror on the driver
side. The right-hand exterior mirror will
be adjusted at the same time
(synchronised).
3. To correct the adjustment of the right
exterior mirror if necessary: turn the ro-
tary knob to position
and adjust the
right exterior mirror.
Fol
ding in the exterior mirrors while
parking
The exterior mirrors fold in or out automati-
cally when the vehicle is locked or unlocked
from the outside. This requires the rotary
knob to be in the position
, , or .

he exterior mirrors remain folded in if the
rotary knob for the electrically adjustable
exterior mirrors is in the position
.
WARNING
If the exterior mirrors are folded out or in
without pa
ying due attention, fingers can
be trapped between the exterior mirror
and the mirror base. This can cause seri-
ous injuries.

Fold the exterior mirrors in or out only
when there is no obstruction in the path
of the mirror.
NOTICE
Exterior mirrors may be damaged if they
are not folded in when driving through a c
ar
wash.

Always fold in the exterior mirrors.
NOTICE
Folding in the electrically adjustable exteri-
or mirrors mechanic
ally can lead to in-
creased wear or damage the electric drive.

Do not fold elec
trically adjustable exteri-
or mirrors in or out by hand.
You should switch o the exterior mir-
ror hea
ting when it is no longer nee-
ded. Fuel is otherwise wasted.
In the event of a fault, the electric ex-
terior mirrors can be adjusted by hand
by pressing on the outer edge of the mirror.
The vehicle aerials are located in the
exterior mirrors. If any metallic
chrome-plated trim, such as chrome-plat-
ed design caps, is retrofitted to the exterior
mirrors, you may experience problems with
the radio, mobile telephone and navigation
services or they may lose the ability to
transmit and receive signals completely.
