Climate Control menu
Automatic mode of the Climate Control
system is also switched on if a Comfort
function is activated. The Comfort func-
tions remain switched on for a short time.
Automatic mode remains switched on aer
this time elapses.

The defrost function clears the wind-
screen of ice and condensation.
The air is dehumidified and the blow-
er is set to a high speed.

When does air recirculation mode
switch o?
Air recirculation mode switches itself o
automatically if one of the following condi-
tions is met:
— The defrost function is switched on.
— A sensor detects that condensation
might form on the vehicle’s windows.
WARNING
A lacking fresh air supply can lead to re-
stric
ted visibility due to misted-up win-
dows and to fast driver fatigue due to the
stale air. This can lead to collisions and
accidents and cause serious or fatal inju-
ries.

Use air recirculation mode for a short
period only.
·
Switch o the air recirculation mode as
soon as it is no longer required.
NOTICE
Tobacco smoke can leave a residue on the
evaporator of the Climate Control system
and the enhanced air filter with activated
carbon, producing a lasting unpleasant
odour.
·
To prevent lasting unpleasant odours, do
not smoke in the vehicle when air recircu-
lation mode is switched on.
Automatic Climate Control: W
hen re-
versing the vehicle or when the wash
and wipe system is being used, the air recir-
culation mode will switch on to prevent
odours from entering the vehicle interior.
Roof ventilator
T
he roof ventilator directs air from the front
area to the rear of the vehicle interior. The
roof ventilator does not have a separate
fresh air intake.
Opening the roof ventilator settings
1. Open the Climate Control menu in the
Infotainment system.
2. Tap REAR to open the menu for the
rear seats.
