range in close proximity to your vehicle,
such as motorbikes, may not be detected.

Vehicles that change into your lane directly
in front of your vehicle may not be detec-
ted. This also applies to vehicles with bod-
ies or attachments that project beyond the
vehicle.

No or limited sensor visibility to-
war
ds the front
Parts of the sensor system in the front of
the vehicle are not a
vailable or are only
available to a limited extent. The yellow
symbol and a text message are displayed
for a few seconds.
The sensor areas are dirty or the visibility
of the sensor system is aected by the
weather, e.g. impaired by snow, deter-
gent residue or coatings. Clean the sen-
sor areas at the front of the vehicle and
on the windscreen page 383.
The sensor areas are impeded by add-on
parts, number plate holders with trim
frames or stickers. Keep the area around
the sensors clear.
The sensors are misaligned or damaged,
e.g. as a result of damage to the front of
the vehicle or the windscreen. Check
whether damage is visible.
Painting work or structural modifications
have been carried out on the front of the
vehicle or the windscreen page 389.
Fault or malfunction. Switch o and re-
start the engine.
If the problem persists, go to a suitably
qualified workshop.
If the sensor visibility is restricted, driv-
er assistance systems may not be
available or may only be available to a limi-
ted extent. Observe the other indicator
lamps for the driver assistance systems
page 17.
Depending on the malfunction, addi-
tional information may be displayed in
the vehicle status.
