T
his can distract you from the road. Acci-
dents and injuries can occur if the driver is
distracted.
·
Always drive with your full attention
and responsibly.
WARNING
If the volume is set too loud, this will pre-
vent you from hearing a
coustic signals. If
you do not hear acoustic signals from
outside, this can lead to accidents.
·
Set the volume so that you can still al-
ways hear acoustic signals from out-
side the vehicle (e.g. emergency service
sirens).
WARNING
Volume that is too loud can damage the
hearing, even if exposure is only for
a short time.
·
Adjust the volume so that it is pleasant
for all vehicle occupants.
·
Avoid volumes that are too loud.
WARNING
Sudden changes in volume, such as when
changing or c
onnecting an audio or media
source, can distract the driver and lead to
accidents and injuries.
·
Reduce the volume before switching
the audio or media source or connect-
ing a new source, for example.
WARNING
The following conditions can lead to sit-
ua
tions where emergency calls, tele-
phone calls and data transmission are re-
stricted, interrupted or not possible:
·
Your current emergency call location is
in an area with no or insucient mobile
communications and satellite signal re-
ception.
·
The mobile communications network of
telecommunication providers is not
available in areas with sucient mobile
communications and satellite recep-
tion.
·
If the components in the vehicle re-
quired for emergency calls, telephone
calls and data transmission are dam-
a
ged, not working, or do not have su-
cient electrical power.
·
The battery of the mobile telephone is
empty or does not have a sucient
charge level.
WARNING
Radio stations can transmit catastrophe
and danger warnings. If c
atastrophe and
danger warnings cannot be received or
output, this can cause accidents and inju-
ries. The following conditions can prevent
these warnings from being received or
output:
·
Your current location is in an area with
no or insucient radio signal reception.
·
The frequency bands of the radio sta-
tions are subject to interference or are
not available in areas with adequate ra-
dio signal reception.
·
The loudspeakers and the components
required for radio reception in the vehi-
cle are damaged, not working or do not
have sucient electrical power.
WARNING
In some countries and on some mobile
networks, a call for assistance or an
emergency call can be made only under
the following conditions:
·
A mobile telephone with unlocked SIM
card and sucient call credit is connec-
ted to the mobile phone interface of the
vehicle.
·
There is sucient network coverage.
WARNING
If a mobile telephone or two-way radio
tha
t is not connected to an external aerial
is used, electromagnetic radiation in the
vehicle could exceed limit values and thus
be a health hazard for all vehicle occu-
pants.
·
Maintain a minimum distance of 20 cm
(around 8 inches) between the aerials
on the mobile telephone and an active
medical implant (e.g. a pacemaker)
since the mobile devices may impair
the function of active medical implants.
