2. Once the load compartment cover is
unclipped, use one hand to swivel the
right-hand side of the load compart-
ment up until it reaches the upper edge
of the side window.
3. Li the le-hand side of the load com-
partment cover and remove it from the
load compartment.
Fitting the load compartment cover
1. Fit the load compartment cover diago-
nally into the load compartment.
2. Swivel the le-hand side of the load
compartment cover up and set it down
on the retainer.
3. Swivel the right-hand side of the load
compartment cover down and set it
down on the retainer.
4. Push the load compartment cover until
it has clicked into place in the large re-
tainers → Fig. 149.
Always ensure that the belt is routed cor-
rectly when fitting the load compartment
cover. The belt must not be trapped by the
load compartment cover.
Setting up the load compartment cover
The load compartment cover can be raised
to ease the loading or unloading, if neces-
sary.
1. Move the load compartment cover up.
2. Engage the load compartment cover in
the two smaller retainers → Fig. 149.

Objects or animals on the load compart-

over can damage the load com-
partment cover and cause serious or fatal
injuries in the event of sudden driving and
braking manoeuvres or accidents.

Never transport any objects on the load
compartment cover.

Incorrect use of the load compartment

Do not fill the loa
d compartment so high
that the load compartment cover can
press on it when the boot lid is closed.
