ehicle toolkit
Introduction
When securing the vehicle in the event of
a breakdown, observe the legal require-
ments in the respective country.
WARNING
In the event of a sudden driving or braking
manoeuvre or a
ccident, certain items may
be flung through the vehicle interior, such
as a loose breakdown set, temporary
spare wheel or loose vehicle tool kit. This
can result in serious or fatal injuries.

Always ensure that the vehicle toolkit,
breakdown set and spare wheel are
properly secured in the vehicle.

Working with an unsuitable or damaged
vehicle toolkit c
an result in accidents. This
can result in serious or fatal injuries.

Never work with unsuitable or dam-
aged tools from the vehicle toolkit.
·
Seek expert assistance if no suitable
vehicle toolkit is available.
Stowage
Please refer to at the start of the
chapt
er on page 306.
The vehicle toolkit and the removable ball
coupling may be located in dierent places
depending on the vehicle model.
Tourneo
The vehicle toolkit is located in the load
compartment behind a cover behind the
rear right wheel housing.
1. Loosen the securing strap if necessary.
The removable ball coupling is located in
a foam rubber holder under the front pas-
senger seat.
1. Slide the front passenger seat back as
far as it will go.
2. Undo the closure and remove the foam
rubber holder under the front pa
ssenger
seat.
Transit
The vehicle toolkit and the removable ball
coupling are located in a foam rubber hold-
er under the front passenger seat.
1. If necessary, slide the front passenger
seat forward and fold the backrest
down to access the vehicle toolkit
page 97.

The scope of the on-board tool kit depends
on the country and equipment. The follow-
ing section describes the maximum scope:

Screwdriver with hexagon socket in the
handle for unscrewing or screwing tight
sla
ckened wheel bolts. The screwdriver
has two reversible blades.

Adapter for the anti-the wheel bolt.
C
arry the wheel bolt adapter in the ve-
hicle toolkit at all times. The code num-
ber of the anti-the wheel bolt is stam-
ped on the front of the adapter. You will
need this number to replace the adapt-
er if lost. Make a note of the code num-
ber for the anti-the wheel bolt and
