2. With the ignition switched on, press the
wiper lever briefly in the direction of
‘flick wipe’.
The wiper blades return to their initial
position.
Cleaning and changing wiper

The factory-fitted wiper blades are coated
with graphite. The graphite coating ensures
that the wiper blade moves quietly over the
windscreen. If the graphite coating is dam-
aged, the windscreen wiper will become
louder.
Check the condition of the wiper blades on
a regular basis. Rubbing wiper blades
should be changed if damaged or cleaned
if dirty
.

amaged wiper blades should be replaced
immediately. Wiper blades are available
from a suitably qualified workshop.
WARNING
Worn or dirty wiper blades reduce visibility
and increa
se the risk of accidents and se-
vere injuries.

Always clean dirty wiper blades.
·
Always change windscreen wiper
blades if they are damaged or worn and
no longer clean the windscreen proper-
ly.
NOTICE
Cleaning the wiper blades or windows with
unsuitable cleaning a
gents can cause dam-
age.

Do not use fuel, nail varnish remover,
paint thinner or similar liquids to clean
the wiper blades and windows.
·
Do not clean the wiper blades with hard
sponges and other sharp objects.
If wax residue from car washes and
other c
are products remains on the
vehicle windows, this can cause the wipers
to rub. Remove wax residue using a special
cleaning product or cleaning cloths.
Cleaning wiper blades
1. Move the windscreen wipers to the
service position.
2. Li the wiper arms, making sure that
you hold them only in the area of the
wiper blade mounting.
3. Clean the wiper blades carefully using
a damp sponge .

. Carefully place the wiper arms back on-
to the windscreen.

sition before liing.
2. Li the wiper arms, making sure tha

you hold them only in the area of the
wiper blade mounting.
3. Press and hold the release button and
simultaneously pull o the wiper blade
in the direction of the arrow

. Insert a new wiper blade with the same
length and design onto the correspond-
ing wiper arm. Push it on until it engag-
es.
5. Place the wiper arms carefully back on-
to the windscreen.
