onsult a doctor if you experience
health problems aer working with
brake fluid.

Always keep brake fluid out of the
reach of children and only in the closed
original container.
·
Never store brake fluid in empty food
containers, bottles or any other non-
original containers as people finding
these containers could drink the brake
fluid in them.
·
Avoid regular contact with brake fluid in
order to prevent damage to the skin.
·
Protect your skin, face and particularly
your eyes when working with brake flu-
id.
·
Do not eat, drink or smoke when work-
ing with brake fluid.
·
Wash your skin with soap and water af-
ter working with brake fluid.
NOTICE

will attack vehicle surfaces. The vehicle
paintwork, plastic parts and tyres could be
damaged as a result.

been spilled immediately from all parts
of the vehicle.

Brake uid specication
Before using a particular brake fluid, check
that the specifications printed on the con-
tainer correspond to the vehicle require-
ments.
Brake fluid tha
t complies with the manu-
facturer’s standard is available from quali-
fied workshops.
If no manufacturer-standard brake fluid is
available, you can use brake fluid that is
compliant with DIN ISO 4925 CLASS 6 or
US standard FMVSS 116 DOT 4.
Brake fluid that is compliant with the man-
ufacturer’s standard fulfils the require-
ments of DIN ISO 4925 CLASS 6 or
US standard FMVSS 116 DOT 4.

1. Park the vehicle on a firm and level sur-
face.
2. Open the bonnet.

The brake fluid reservoir can be identified
by the cap Fig. 209.
The brake fluid level cannot be checked ac-
curately in all models as a flap or engine
components may partially conceal the
brake fluid container. If the brake fluid level
cannot be read exactly, please seek assis-
tance from a suitably qualified workshop.
