The recommended tyre pressure for the
tyre sizes approved b
y Ford for the vehicle
type can be found on the tyre pressure
sticker page 350.
Fault not rectied
If the Tyre Pressure Loss Indicator indicates
a fault, the tyre pressure cannot be moni-
tored correctly. A malfunction of the Tyre
Pressure Loss Indicator can have various
causes, e.g. due to replacement of a wheel
or tyre. Aer replacing a wheel or tyre,
check whether the indicator lamp
indi-
c
ates a system fault in order to ensure that
the Tyre Pressure Loss Indicator is function-
ing correctly page 359.
Delayed or no display
In the following situations, the Tyre Pres-
sure Loss Indicator may not display any-
thing or may react only aer a delay:
Driving with snow chains.
Driving on snow-covered or icy roads or
unpaved roads.
With sporty driving.
Synchronising the Tyre Pressure

oss Indicator
The Tyre Pressure Loss Indicator must be
re-synchronised under the following condi-
tions:
If the tyre pressures have been adapted.
If one or more wheels have been
changed.
If the wheels have been swapped round,
e.g. from front to rear.
The Tyre Pressure Loss Indicator may be re-
synchronised only if all tyres have the cor-
rect tyre pressure when measured with
cold tyres. Before measuring the tyre pres-
sure on a cold tyre, park the vehicle for
1 hour without any exposure to direct sun-
light.
In the event of a warning about low tyre
pressure, you cannot adapt the Tyre Pres-
sure Loss Indicator again until you have ful-
filled one of the following two conditions:
Switch the ignition o and then back on
again.
Or: wait for 6
0 seconds with the engine
running and the vehicle stationary.

indicator lamp fla

6 seconds. An acoustic signal also
sounds and a text message is displayed
on the instrument cluster display.
Aer an extended driving time of at
least 20 minutes and driving at dierent
speeds, the system will automatically
learn the new values and monitor them.
If the
indicator lamp fla
shes for around
6 seconds without the Tyre Pressure Loss
Indicator having been newly adapted be-
forehand, go immediately to the nearest
suitably qualified workshop.
WARNING
If the Tyre Pressure Loss Indicator is
synchronised with a tyre pressure tha
t is
too high or too low, the Tyre Pressure Loss
Indicator may issue incorrect warnings or
may not issue any warning at all in spite
of a dangerously low tyre pressure.

Make sure that the tyre pressure of all
tyres is correct before synchronising the
Tyre Pressure Loss Indicator.

Low tyre pressure
The indicator lamp lights up yellow.

here is a loss of pressure in one or more
tyres or the tyre is structurally damaged.
