tion number of your vehicle, the milea
ge
reading, system-compatible apps, usage
statistics and debugging information. We
only store this data for as long as necessary
to provide this service, carry out trouble-
shooting measures, make continuous im-
provements to products and services, and
to provide you with products and services
that may be of interest to you in accord-
ance with your preferences, to the extent
permitted by law.
When you connect a mobile telephone to
the system, the system creates a profile
that is linked to this mobile telephone. This
profile enables the use of additional mobile
communications functions and ecient
operation. Among other things, this profile
includes data from your address book, read
and unread text messages and a call list,
including a list of calls made while your
mobile telephone was not connected to
the system.
If you also connect a media device, the sys-
tem creates and stores a media device in-
dex of the supported media content. The
system also stores a short diagnostic log of
approx. 10 minutes with the latest system
activities.
The mobile telephone profile, media device
index and diagnostic log remain stored in
the vehicle until they are deleted; they can
also generally only be accessed in the vehi-
cle if you connect your mobile telephone or
media device. If you no longer wish to use
the system or the vehicle, we recommend
performing a general reset to delete all
stored information → page 255.
Access to the system data is only possible
with special equipment and access to the
vehicle’s module.
You can find further information on our pri-
vacy policy on your country’s Ford website.

Emergency call system data
Please refer to at the start of the
chapt
er on page 44.
If the emergency call system is active, it
can transmit to the emergency call centre
the fact that the vehicle was involved in an
accident in which the airbag was triggered
or fuel pump shuto was activated. Some
versions or updates of the emergency call
system may also report the location of the
vehicle and/or details of the vehicle or acci-
dent to the emergency services electroni-
cally or verbally, so that the emergency
services can initiate the appropriate emer-
gency measures. If you do not wish to
transmit this information, do not activate
the emergency call system.
The following data may be transmitted, for
example:
— Vehicle identification number.
— Fuel type of vehicle.
— Current time.
— Location and direction of travel.
— Whether the emergency call was made
automatically or manually.
— Vehicle category.
— Number of passengers in the vehicle.
The legally prescribed emergency call
systems cannot be deactivated.
